This is a print of the painting Trail of Tears by the renowned Native American artist Jerome Tiger (1941-1967).
Jerome Tiger was a Creek-Seminole artist known for his emotionally evocative depictions of Native American life and history. Trail of Tears is one of his most famous works, depicting the forced relocation of Native Americans from their ancestral lands in the 19th century. The visible was once stored in epoxy resin however when I acquired this art the top glass was missing so now the art sits on just the bottom part of the epoxy. It has been protected every since.
