Stieglitz - A Memoir/Biography by Sue Davidson Lowe is extremely well written, engaging and informative. The author is the subject's great-niece and knew him for 20 years. The book covers Stieglitz and his circle of artists, his own passion for the genre of photography, as well as his role introducing numerous American and European artists to America through his galleries in NYC including Georgia O'Keeffe who later became his wife . The author truly fleshes out this complicated and often idolized man. There are numerous photographs by Stieglitz and others used as visual support throughout the book. One of Newsweek Magazine's top 5 non-fiction books of 1983.
