The third OZ Book, after 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz' and 'The Road to Oz', originally issued in 1907. A curious edition, bound in brown cloth with plain covers but in a decidedly silly mid-century dust jacket with modern cartoon-style artwork by Roland Roycraft. Dust jacket 's rear flap lists 38 OZ books up until Rachel Cosgrove's 'The Hidden Valley of Oz' (1951).
