This is a Michelin pen or pencil holder in the shape of the North American Headquarters building located in Greenville, SC. The piece is ceramic and is hand painted with decals added for detail. The base measures about 7 by 2.75 . It is about 3 tall. I'm not sure how old the piece is, but the building opened in 1988. So most likely no older than that. The piece is in great shape. There is some writing inside from storing pens. The exterior has a paint chip on one corner of the base. The main wear is along what would be the glass atrium . This portion is a decal attached to the building as it would have been too detailed to paint. There are areas where the decal has chipped off. Mainly along the top.
