A gorgeous pair of earrings from Nicholas Gambino. Gambino was from the federally recognized Morongo tribe of the Mission Indians in California. He started his silversmith career in 1971 with the famous White Hogan and was mentored by skilled smiths, such as Kenneth Begay and the Kee brothers. This pair of beautiful earrings feature vivid turquoise cabs that have just the tiniest bit of matrix. The stones are set in plain bezels and framed by a margin of sterling from the back plate. They measure 1 1/8 long x 11/16 at the widest. Marked on the reverse N G Sterling and have a combined weight of 13.8 grams. The clips are in good working order and the pair are in excellent vintage condition.
