Vintage Japanese 80s 90s Tropical Colorful A-Line Midi Dress w Sash Size S

I bought this dress at a vintage shop in Japan. (There is no tag to indicate this is from Japan though.)
The dress is in excellent condition. No pilling or fading, no stains or tears. The zipper is sometimes a little difficult to zip up but all the teeth are in order, it's just not very fluid and requires some gusto to zip up and unzip. There is a hook and eye at the top of the zip I found difficult to get to attach. I usually didn't attach them together and it's fine.

The waist is elastic so it stretches! There's also pockets. The sash is thick and long. In the third photo, I folded it in half so it is double the length you can see in that photo. You could use it as a head wrap or something other than a belt!
I get so many compliments when I wear this.

unstretched: 11.5
stretched: 17.5
