They are new and I had to undo them from boxes to see if they worked/ The batteries were corroded as well as compartments in both/ I put NEW batteries in both and they worked fine even with corroded compartment.The finger nail tips have sparkles/glitter missing on both/ Both flickers when push button while in on position. Only one hand comes on when you wave by the sensor/the other hand only when you push button. No sound or movements on either/ The other hand flickers on ON switch and Sensor switch mode when you push button. They do not flicker continuously.. only when push button SEE PICTURES AS PART OF DESCRIPTION/ BATTERIES ARE NOT INLCUDED / These are hard to find
