These Earthenware plates have a coupe shape and are formed upward at the edges making eating off them easy anywhere. They’re in great condition and the subtle green color looks amazing next to the beige Earthenware of the plate. This design work reminds me of Aztec art and it was manufactured in 1965 through 1983 in 3-4 different colors.Platters are 13” long and 9” wideFranciscan is a trade name used for tableware produced by Gladding, McBean & Co. in Los Angeles, California from 1932-1962. When Gladding introduced their first hand painted earthenware line, Apple, they also introduced it using the Franciscan name. Franciscan was eventually purchased and produced by the Wedgwood Group who closed the California plant and moved it to England, where they still produce both Apple and Desert Rose.
