Was sold to me as “Variegated Pink Dragon Nairobi Nights.” Which I’ve learned now does not make sense, because PD/Aurora is a parent plant of Nairobi Nights. This plant has purplish abaxial, indicating hybridization. Alocasia Pink Dragon/Aurora supposedly have “smooth matte abaxis.” Alocasia Nairobi Nights does have red/purpleish leaf undersides (abaxial leaf) Perhaps it is a hybrid of PD/Aurora and Nairobi Nights? I have no clue, either way a very pretty plant. The Aurea variegation fades quickly and becomes Albo before long.
