This Parker 51, a masterpiece that shines brightly in the history of fountain pens, has been completely disassembled, thoroughly cleaned down to individual parts, and meticulously adjusted and restored, including re-adhering the ink sac.

In recent years, a reproduction version has been released and is now available. While the reproduction is a well-made fountain pen, it differs from the original in many ways. As a stationery collector, one should still consider adding an original 51 to their collection.

The Parker 51 was produced in a staggering 20 million units from 1941 to the late 1970s.

Considering that the Parker 75, which is widely available on the market, was produced in 10 million units, one might expect to see more 51s around...

However, there are reasons for this, such as the age of the pens and the extreme difficulty of disassembling them without following the proper procedures. Many 51s have been subjected to heavy use without proper maintenance, resulting in a scarcity of well-maintained specimens.

As mentioned earlier, this pen has been completely disassembled using the correct procedures, and the Dupont Pli-glass ink sac has been re-adhered. The acrylic resin barrel and cap are in excellent condition. The cap top is also intact.

This is a masterpiece with an impeccable design, a hard and monotonous 14k gold nib with a large pen point, stable ink flow, and a large-capacity, durable filling mechanism.

While it is priced higher than the almost-junk 51s found on the market, it has been meticulously maintained and restored to a perfect condition, requiring significant time and effort. This pen is highly recommended for stationery collectors who understand its history, condition, and fair price.

This is a classic Parker 51 combination of a stainless steel cap and a black resin barrel. It is an Aerometric Parker 51, the most widely distributed and consistently high-quality model. The robust acrylic barrel is undamaged (the tiny holes on the side of the barrel are for infant safety in case of accidental ingestion and are not a defect). The ink sac is in excellent condition. The 14k gold nib is approximately EF and has plenty of pen point remaining.
