Vintage Rosenthal China Blue Ivy Leaves Tilt Teapot made in Kronach, Germany 1945-46
This is a stunningly rare and unique teapot produced by Rosenthal China at their factory in Kronach Germany in 1945-1946. This teapot features a built in strainer/tea holder. Set the teapot on its back resting on its feet and handle, place tea in strainer compartment, add water to top of strainer compartment and let steep. When ready, gently set teapot upright. A wonderfully inventive way to make and serve tea. Marked on the bottom is:RosenthalA crown between two crossed swordsKronach-Germany. The teapot is in overall excellent vintage condition.
It originally had a lid, which has been lost over the years. Still stunning and has been priced accordingly, but I’ll still consider offers.
