Louise Vickery (1918-2002) born in Washington DC and then a lifelong resident of Wilkes County, NC.
Her works were exhibited in various galleries and sold throughout the area.
She was married to Sam Stevenson Vickery
(1919-2001) an accomplished artist (watercolors & sculpture). Sam was a native of Wilkes County and helped found the Wilkes Art Gallery where he served as director and trustee for many years.
