Signed first American edition, first printing hardcover copy of Shardik by Richard Adams (Simon & Schuster, 1974). Signed and inscribed by author on title page. Young adult fantasy novel by the author of Watership Down / Plague Dogs and others. Jacket protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with some mild rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges. Boards mildly soiled from a bit of liquid damage and with corners bumped. Binding is firm and spine remains fairly straight. Some staining and a bit of waviness to pages, mostly to outer edges, due to liquid exposure. See photos for condition.
