The Loire 130 is a French, single-engine, high-wing metal structure flying boat from the Second World War. The flight of the prototype took place on November 19, 1934, and the entry into service took place in 1937. The power unit was a 12-cylinder Hispano-Suiza 12 Xirsi with 690HP. The plane served on the battleships Dunkerque , Strasburg , the cruisers Algiere and Jean D'Arc and on the floating seaplane base Commandant Taste . In colonies such as Martinique and Indochina, Loire 130 operated from coastal waters. Loire 130 served both in the ranks of the Free French and under the aegis of the Vichy State. The last aircraft of this type were withdrawn in 1951.
