Vintage African wood carved figurine from 1960s. Handmade, glazed with a red varnish. Figurine is a person carrying another person. 14 1/2 inches high, 7 inches wide, 3 3/4 inches front to back. It has some knot holes in the wood that give it character on the backside. Bottom is unvarnished. A unique decorative item! Good condition, no cracks or breaks. There are chips in the varnish all over, especially on the back side. This is mainly from age. Some look like spots where the glaze bubbled when it was applied. Great figurine for anyone who loves African art.
