This Butterfield watercolor features a sad clown wearing a red & white striped shirt with a yellow jacket over top, red clown hair and a red hat with a red detail & flower hanging off of its side
The clown appears to have a sullen face, or maybe one in just a deep thought
The piece is matted in white and then with a yellow on the most outer border
The painting itself measures approx. 10 x 13   and the entire piece measures about 20 x 16
The bottom features two signatures - on on the lower left hand side which appears to be C Butterfield and one on the right bottom that reads Butterfield
