◽️ Macalastair ◽️
A knitwear brand founded in Glasgow, Scotland in 1981. They excel in traditional hand frame (hand knitting machine) methods, where artisans operate the knitting machines by hand to produce knit products with a texture that cannot be achieved with automatic machines. Additionally, the yarn used for staple items like sweaters is made from British wool spun at the historic New Lanark mill, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

In 1981, Alastair Mackinnon, from the Mackinnon family which has been manufacturing knitwear for three generations, established Mackinnon International Knitwear in Glasgow, Scotland, and launched the brand Macalastair , combining his name with the brand.
