Meant to be quite prurient, when sent off singly they appeared innocent enough, but as a set were practically pornographic for the era! The seduction of a nun away from the church was akin to heresy in Italy back then. The impact slightly softened with the viewer not knowing what the nun's reply is to the proposal. Perhaps there was a 12th postcard!
