This is a unique vintage piece of MCM pottery from the Icelandic pottery Glit, known for incorporating real lava into their ceramics.
Many of these plates are a dark dreary color but this is bright with blues and reds in the center with raised pieces of lava. The rim almost looks like flower petals.
This heavy piece measures 8.5 inches in diameter and weighs 1.5 pounds. It is in great condition with no chips or cracks.
