This uses a battery which has never been taken out and was given by Microsoft when the Xbox was first being presented at the E3 Event - so easily ove 20+ years old.
Like many battery operated items that are this old, I can’t guarantee that it will work as I’m sure the battery expired along time ago. Definitely an excellent collectible for Xbox fans who have been there since day one
