This AV amplifier features Dolby Pro Logic surround sound.

It is equipped with Dolby Pro Logic surround sound with digital delay.
The TA-AV550 offers four types of Pro Logic modes, including a 3-channel logic mode that allows you to enjoy Dolby surround sound without rear (surround) speakers.
Normal mode is selected when using a small speaker for the center speaker, and it plays back with five speakers. Wide mode is selected when using a speaker of the same size as the front speakers for the center speaker. Phantom mode performs surround playback with four speakers, front and rear.

The TA-AV550 has a built-in 4-channel power amplifier, and an external amplifier is required for the center speaker.

In addition to Pro Logic mode, it features a Hall mode that allows you to enjoy stereo sources with the ambience of a concert hall, and a Simulate mode that adds spaciousness to the sound of monaural sources.

It is equipped with five input terminals for audio. It also has an adapter terminal that can be connected to a graphic equalizer, etc.
It has five video inputs, four of which support S-video.

It comes with a remote control with learning function. This remote control can memorize the signals of other infrared-compatible devices.
It also allows you to adjust the master and rear volume settings, select the delay time, and other operations to set the best surround sound for your listening position.
