A very nice 1930s 1940s black Raffia hat. Catherine Jackson. The 1 5/8 inch brim is black raffia and the rest of the hat is a sheer black fabric with satin edge and hand sewn in mass ruffles over the entire hat. Very lightweight summer hat. The sewn label inside says Catherine Jackson of Haddon Hall Atlantic City. The workmanship on this hat is outstanding. The interior edge is pink grosgrain with ivory lace edge. Amazing how well this hat held up all these years. They don't make hats like they used to. Head circumference. 20 and 1/2 inch. Non smoking pet free home.
