As you can see I tested it out with some cold tap water. Water came to boiling very quick.

Everything on the unit is secure and in good working order. This is really a great unit because you can control the temp to an exact point. Perfect for beef braising or stews. Or even deep frying. This one thing can do it all.

I’m hoping none of you buy it so I can use it myself and tell my wife “ it’s just not selling I guess we have to keep it “ I tend to have a problem with buying kitchen gadgets I guess.
