Beautiful Edition of Aesop’s Fables. Limited to 1500 numbered copies signed by Bruce Rogers, the designer of the book. Printed at the Oxford University Press by John Johnson. Excellent example of Rogers' work.
Signed limited edition, number 296 of 1,500 copies, of Croxall's popular 1722 translation of Aesop's Fables, designed and signed by Bruce Rogers and printed at the Oxford University Press by John Johnson in Great Britain. Top is shiny gold and the bottom has uneven pages. In the back it is watermarked Hand Made. It is bound in brown marbled boards with nice, deckled pages. Binding is stiff and square; hinges are fully attached. A few stains are present, but it is in good condition considering its age.
