Designed by Japanese textile artist Katsuji Wakisaka in 1972 during his 8 year stint at Marimekko. This piece exemplifies Wakisaka's eye for graphic patterns and bold colors. In the 1970s Marimekko hired Wakisaka, who brought a bold and playful aesthetic to the Marimekko style.
