This is a lovely piece of history. It is an antique sterling silver French Brooch. It is inscribed with the words ( in French), “Let’s All Go Singing Forward To Normandy.” Its face is lightly domed and is styled with a black background with silver details. I have not polished the silver but have left the aged patina as is. The brooch is about 1 1/2” around and it does test as sterling silver. The brooch has a tube latch. For its age it is in marvelous condition. It is a collector’s piece as I believe it relates to WWII, but I’m no expert. I just searched info from the internet on it.
