Sparkling vintage acorn and oak leaf brooch with purple/blue Aurora Borealis rhinestones. Original from the 1950s. Fun and beautiful vintage brooch in the shape of a sprig with two oak leaves and an acorn. The brooch is in satin light gold metal and the acorn is decorated with Aurora Borealis blue/purpleish rhinestones.
This pin is a very original and quintessential 'fifties' piece. It's not signed, but it's solid and well made.
The brooch measures 5.5 cm x 3.5 (2 inches and 4/16 x 1 inches and 1/2) and weighs 16 grams.
The brooch is in very good condition. The metal is intact and bright with some minor wear and the rhinestones, all present, are super-sparkling. It looks like one of the rhinestones has been replaced.
The secure clasp is in good working order.
