Vintage Les Bernard beaded heart necklace. Made w/ a combo of glass & stone beads that include banded/green onyx, crazy lace, jade & a polychrome jasper heart. So pretty in person!
Necklace is 15” long, w/ pendant it hangs 16.5”. Stamped: Les Bernard Inc.
NOTE: it does have a small chip on the edge of the heart, SEE PIC 11. You really have to look close to find it. This piece is late 60s/early 70s.
Les Bernard was a pioneer in the field of costume jewelry of high class design. Opened his own company in 1963 & continued make jewelry until 1996. Their principal location was very famous on exclusive on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan for many many years.
Les is known for innovative decorations of crystal, glass, stones, marcasites, silver, and precious metal alloys. Fun fact: they were actually 1 of the primary designers that created jewelry for “Dynasty” in the 80s.
