John Trumbull (1756-1843) was an American artist known for his historical paintings of the American Revolutionary War. One of his most famous works is Declaration of Independence, a painting that depicts the presentation of the draft of the Declaration to Congress. The original painting was commissioned in 1817 and completed in 1818. This is a vintage reproduction print of the famous work, released by the New York Graphic Society. This particular print was released sometime between 1940 and 1970 when interest in American historical art was particularly high. Matted and set in a classic gilded frame.
